The designer named Clare Waight Keller behind Meghan Markle’s dress for her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018 revealed the details hidden behind the “something blue’ tradition.

After 5 years of marriage between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, the designer of Meghan Markle’s wedding dress designer brought to light how they cherished the tradition of the bride including “something blue,” sharing that some of the dress Meghan wore on her first date with Prince Harry made it down the aisle.

In a statement made by Clare Waight Keller to Vanity Fair in an article published on August 24, she said “They basically sewed it into the hem of the wedding dress so, she was the only one that knew it was there.”

Clare further noted that, “It was the perfect personal moment that was secretly hidden inside the dress.”

Clare being the first female artistic director of Givenchy explained when she designed the look that Meghan wanted to “bring some simplicity and just timeless elegance” to her ensemble.

“Not overly feminine, but not really minimal either,” she added to her statement.

Meghan who already shares two kids Archie Harrison and Lilibet Diana with Prince Harry praises Clare I for bringing to reality her “very clear vision” of her dream dress.

In a recording made in 2018 for the Windsor Castle exhibition featuring the royal wedding, Meghan said that “What was amazing in working with Clare is that she completely respected what she wanted to see for the day, and she was willing to bring that to life for her.”
